  • If you have replaced the on-ear pads on your headphones before and understand how to do all the steps shown in the assembly video for the kit, you should find the conversion very easy.

  • Kits may be returned for a refund, minus a 25% restocking fee and a $5 return postage fee, within 30 days of purchase. To initiate a return, please contact us via email at returns@built-by-me.com.

  • All kit materials are covered by a limited warranty for one (1) year from the date of purchase, except for the ear pads, which have a 90-day warranty. Important: To activate the warranty, you must register your kit as instructed. We do not provide any warranty for the headphones to which you install the kit. By purchasing the kit, you assume the risk of voiding your headphones' manufacturer's warranty, as well as the risk of damaging or altering active noise-canceling functions of your headphones, if equipped. Improper installation of the kit may result in damage to your headphones or injury to yourself.

  • If you don't believe you can the make the conversion yourself, DO NOT buy the kit! We are not responsible if you damage your original headphones in attempting the conversion. You assume the risk of damaging your headphones or harming yourself in using our product. Please see our Return Policy and Warranty information above.

  • Each kit describes the headphone models it's compatible with in the first line of the product description. If you are not sure what model headphones you have or of their condition, please contact us with the model number of your headphones before you buy a kit.

  • We cannot guarantee the color of the adapters will match your original headphones exactly.

  • At the moment, we only offer the colors shown on the product pages.

  • Please contact us if you wish to purchase adapters for a model we don't current offer. We'll see if we can make it.

  • The ear pads can last up to a year or more under normal wear and tear. Heavy usage or improper care will accelerate the pads' replacements, which may be as little as a few months.

  • Yes. Since you will be removing the on-ear pads and replacing them with over-the-ear pads, this will alter the native active noise-cancelation function of the headphones, if equiped. In some cases, it may even disable it. However, in other cases, the over-the-ear pads may enhance the active noise-cancelation. Please keep this in mind before you buy the kit.

  • You will be removing the existing on-ear pads, installing the adapters and the over-the-ear pads. In some models, you have to replace some retaining screws on the headphones. However, the instructions do not tell you to open the speakers or access electronic components of the headphones. So your original headphones should retain all of its original functions, apart from active noise-cancelation, if you follow the video instructions.
